Next Steps

Growing involves daily and purposeful encounters with Jesus in His Word, applying His teaching to your life, and allowing the Holy Spirit to deepen your relationship with Him.  Whether you are just getting started or continuing this life-long adventure, we have tools that can help you in developing this vital relationship.

Have you recently made a decision to follow Christ or just have questions about faith and following God? We are always here to help.

Step 1: Connect Cafe and Starting Point

Begin your Journey at EastPoint by attending one of our Connection Events.  Each month, we host a Connect Café where you can grab a bite to eat and meet the staff and elders of EastPoint Christian Church.  During the Connect Café, you will learn more about EastPoint and you will be able to ask questions in a casual environment. You might even score a slice of pizza while chatting it up with the pastors.

Many people who come through the doors of EastPoint are not familiar with the Bible and have lots of questions.  Starting Point is a conversational environment where you can explore faith and experience community.   Here you can ask questions and discuss topics with other people who are interested in seeking a relationship with God.

Starting Point uses the Bible as a roadmap for discussing  God’s relationship with mankind.  From Genesis to Revelation, the Starting Point experience focuses on the story of God’s tireless love for His people and how we fit into this exciting story.

Step 2: Connect Class

If you are ready to become a member of EastPoint Christian Church or if you are making a decision to follow Jesus for the first time, come to the Connect Membership Class.

At the Connect Membership Class we look at what the Scriptures say about following Jesus and living as an active member of His Church.  Some topics of discussion are:  the message of the Gospel, faith, repentance, baptism, Christ’s vision for His Church and expectations for Christ followers at EastPoint Christian Church.  At the end of this class, you will have the opportunity to sign our Membership Commitment.

The Connect Membership Class is offered on the third weekend of each month.   Watch the bulletin for dates and times and use a Connect Card to sign up or check the calendar and sign up online.

Step 3: The Group Experience

Experiencing community in Christ is a vital part of growing as a Christian.  We encourage everyone to participate in an EP Class or LifeGroup on a regular basis.

LifeGroups are small groups of 6-16 adults who are devoted to practicing loving Christian relationships in a faithful community.  These groups meet in homes at different times throughout the week, including Sunday evenings.  LifeGroups provide the opportunity for us to process the Scriptures while we experience the love of Christ through His people.  It is the environment where we develop richer and deeper relationships which help us to grow as disciples of Jesus.  To connect with a LifeGroup near you, simply fill out a Connect Card or E-mail Larry.

All EP Classes provide a small group time as part of the session.  Women’s Bible Study, Forging Men, MOPS, Young Adult Café are some of the EP Classes offered regularly. Check the calendar for what's coming up next!

Step 4: Serving the Church

An essential part of following Jesus is serving in His Church.  When we offer our gifts and talents in service we glorify God, strengthen our brothers and sisters in Christ, and empower the Church to meet needs within our community.  Click the following link to go to our Volunteer Survey where you can explore and express interest in multiple areas at once.

Step 5: Sharing with Others

Jesus calls His followers to let their light shine that people may see their good deeds and give glory to their Father in heaven.  At EastPoint, we encourage everyone to share the love of Jesus in word and in action.  This involves reaching out beyond the walls of our homes to volunteer our time, resources, and talents within our communities.

Some members choose to participate in outreach opportunities organized by EastPoint, and we strongly encourage partnerships with established non-profit groups that are  currently serving the needy.
